Bio

A native Mobilian, I attended Orchard Elementary School (where I later was fortunate enough to do my student teaching), and 7th grade at Shaw High School. In that following summer, my family moved to Moss Point, Mississippi because of my father's job with the Mississippi Press Register. I graduated from Moss Point High School. I then graduated from the University of South Alabama with a BS in Elementary Education. Several years later I returned to USA to receive my MS degree in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.  I love working with all of the students at school. It has been fun to watch them grow into fine scientists over the years.

I am married to Rod Cromer, a graduate of Theodore High School. He is a retired US Army officer, Infantry branch. We really enjoyed our life in the military. We lived in interesting places, and I was always fortunate to have a job in schools with high expectations like Council. Each school prepared me to choose the challenge that Council believes in. We have one son, David, who attended Council. He is currently attending the University of West Alabama in Livingston where he is a relief pitcher for the baseball team. We have a chocolate Lab named Elle. She is very playful and very loving and very spoiled.

I love being a teacher at Council. I have enjoyed getting to know all of the fine students and parents at our school. Thank you for selecting Council for your children.
